Safari Overview
This 24-day birding safari is the ultimate expedition for bird lovers who want to experience the full range of Uganda’s incredible avian diversity. Uganda boasts over 1,090 recorded bird species, many of which are endemic or regionally restricted. This itinerary takes you from papyrus-fringed wetlands to the Albertine Rift highlands, through tropical and montane rainforests, across vast savannahs, and into remote semi-arid valleys. Birders can expect to encounter over 700 species during this journey, including highlights such as the elusive Shoebill, the rare Green-breasted Pitta, Albertine Rift endemics, and numerous Central African forest species.
